What do I want to be when I grow up?

I think when I was a kid I assumed I would grow up, go to college, get a degree in my chosen field, then work in that profession until I retired... Not so much. I got my masters degree in clinical neuropsychology, dabbled (code for volunteered) in speech pathology, then took classes and got a teaching license in Pennsylvania and Oregon. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade, worked as a one-on-one reading specialist, and now teach kindergarten through sixth grade in the library, with a good deal of my time going toward technology instruction, repair, and innovation.
I think media specialists in our district may be on the way out due to funding, so I'm looking at this as a potential for change for the good...I'm not a librarian by training or at heart. There are definitely things I like about the job and that are a good fit for me, but I don't think I'm the person who would have chosen it as a field of study. Anyway, what does that mean for me now? I've learned a tremendous amount and I want to use it. If I were to design my own job or revamp my current position, what would it look like? Something to think about...
