Archiving toward simplicity?

So, I decided that I would import all the posts/comments from last year's trial run with blogger and then archive them so I could get rid of one of my other blogs.  At this point I can't seem to archive them, though, so instead of simplicity, I have a bunch of old posts that seem totally random in this context.  Hopefully by setting the "archiving" to weekly, I will see them disappear in a few days to the land of storage.
