As you know I've been trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up... well, I still don't know in the end what it will all look like, but at least for right now, I'm enjoying trying to learn coding and Adobe Photoshop. The problem I'm running into is the same issue I always run into... I get excited about all of it at once and have a hard time knowing where to start. Because this stuff is all new to me, I keep finding that as I try to learn one new thing it takes me to another new thing I need to learn. This makes it exciting for me, but makes my path less than straight. I'm thinking, though, that as I meander along, I am going to write up tutorials for how to do these things. It will be useful to others and it will give me somewhere to refer back to when I wonder "how the heck did I do that?!?"
So, I made a little trial site where I play with my coding and photoshop stuff. The site looks like garbage at this point, but I did it. I should take screenshots along the way so I can see my progress too!
Anyway, if you want to see where I play (some of the time), here's the address:
Kelly's Practice Blog
In the next few days, weeks, months, years (?) I will be adding in tutorials for how to do the different things I'm learning (like how to get my header and background not to look ridiculous!).
Here's my first screenshot to make me feel good later about how far I've come...
